so this weekend I suddenly lost everything on my phone.....contacts (over 350), emails and text messages that were saved. Instantly I was going crazy - I don't memorize my phone numbers - I don't even know my family's phone numbers - it's been stored in there for years. So I emailed everyone to send me their contact info.
This morning a good friend of mine - Torq - sent his number and info to me and told me not to blame T-Mobile but to blame Microsoft. Anyone else having this issue:
Sidekick contacts, data gone, T-Mobile says

Sidekick contacts, data gone, T-Mobile says (AP)
NEW YORK -
Owners of Sidekick phones may have lost all the personal data they stored on the phone, including contact numbers.
The phones are made by a Microsoft Corp. subsidiary and sold by T-Mobile USA, which say many Sidekick owners' information is "almost certainly" gone after a failure of servers operated by Microsoft wiped the data out. The companies said they hoped to update customers on recovery efforts Monday.
The phones have been troubled by data outages for more than a week. Some users attempted to restart their phones by removing the battery, which erases data on the device. Normally, the data is then restored from servers, but with the server data gone, the device is left empty.
Because of that, customers are being advised not to let the battery completely run down either.
It's not clear how many customers have been affected, or how many Sidekicks are in operation. The phone has never been a huge seller, but it's very popular among young, urban customers, and it has had a certain cachet as a celebrity phone. Most famously, Paris Hilton used a Sidekick. Users have appreciated its large QWERTY keyboard for text messaging, a feature now copied by mainstream phones.
Microsoft bought Danger Inc., the maker of the Sidekick, last year in an attempt to revitalize its "smart" phone software portfolio.

Grant Scam
ARE YOU FUCKING KIDDING ME?????
Seriously - a few months ago I wrote about a scam from some dumbass fake grant bullshit. They constantly change their name - so be warned!!!
I have had many people contact me that they were also taken by these scam people - who some how already have your info.
Here is a brief note from the latest comment received:
most people don't want to pay anything for a program or product without knowing what it is going to work for them. that's what make their offer great. they are going to let us try the program for free before you are charged anything, that way us can see how the program will work for us before paying anything.
they giving free 7 day trial and after that there will be a monthly fee that begins. however, if some reason to chose to discontinue your membership at anytime. but they look forward by the end of the 7day trial there will be no other charges or cost aside from the shipping and handling.
this is the customer service number1-888-276-XXXX
I'm going to assume since you can't write a complete sentence or spell half the shit you emailed me that you must work for them because THEY COULDN'T EVEN SPEAK ENGLISH! So stop fucking with people and get a real job!!!

For Haven's Sake - Sunset Time Trial McDowell Park
We want to thank Tom Ament for his extreme care of our child, Haven Fowler. Out of no where, he sent me a text one day saying that he wanted our permission to hold a benefit ride for mine and Kris' daughter Haven and that he and his friends had already worked out where and when and just needed my blessing.I am at a loss for words at how much Tom, Zach, and Sarah have put in to this benefit ride and how they have been able to get the mountain bike community to join together. I will say I was amazed at Tom (he'll probably roll his eyes at me or say something really sweet and nice about me) because he's single, no children, and rides 24/5. I've been told he takes 2 days off a week.... He has only met me once and never met Kris or Haven yet he took this project on like it was his own child and has been working his ass off on it. You are awesome Tom! Zach and Sarah the same - both have only met me once and never my family but they have been there for anything I need. Thank you all.
There will be quite a bit of goodies to be given away at McDowell Park. Thank you to the park rangers for approving the request to have a night ride. Thank you to Ska Brewery for providing the liquids in an effort to keep everyone from deydrating! :)
Thank you to the amazing bike shops who have joined in:
Swiss American Bikes
Southwest Sounds & Cyclery
Bike & Bean
High Gear Bike Shop
More sponsors to come - check out the WEBSITE they have set up about the event. If you would like to help Tom out or join up as a sponsor or provide demo bikes for the many expected participants please contact TOM AMENT.

......
Although everything has pretty much gone downhill in the past year and a half for my daughter and this has pretty much made me feel as the below post I know so many good hearted people and many of them I have met through the oddest ways.
I have many great friends who have been there no matter what.......I had friends who I thought would be there for whatever hit and dropped off the face of the world when they decided they didn't need my friendship because they had something better.....
It's funny....but some of the closest friends I have are the ones I've only met in the past year or so. Friends I never thought I would make and that would care about my daughter they way they do. I have my friends from High School who have shown a lot of support to us, my best friend from college that I haven't seen in maybe 10 years who stays in close contact now, and I have friends who I have met due to bikes that have shown care for my daughter in ways I couldn't imagine.
Although I have all but left the world of bikes I still love the mountain bike community and the family feeling they give. I will be back when there is space in my life for bikes....for now my life is filled with keeping my daughter alive and helping her to someday have a childhood.
Thank you to my dearest friends.....and thank you for what you are doing for my daughter!
Soon to come...you will see one of the most amazing gifts a friend has given to my daughter! I can't thank him enough. :)
